As part of the American Planning Association of Ohio’s 100th Anniversary Statewide Conference, I facilitated a panel of four Mayors and City Managers to discuss how planning has impacted their communities. The panel covered the recently completed plans in each community as well as lessons for planners and community leaders as they undertake similar initiatives. With more than 100 planners in attendance, the session highlighted the work being done from the view of politicians.
What did I do: I acted as lead planner on the plans in all four communities. I subsequently convened these four community leaders to discuss the work that was completed and how planning was impacting their cities.
